A minor accident at Maharana Pratap Chowk escalated into a violent clash, leaving a biker seriously injured and a woman assaulted. The chaos, which lasted 15 minutes, drew a large crowd but ended without a police complaint recently.

A businessman, travelling with his wife and young child in a Baleno (MH-20-EE-9734), was taking a turn near Ganpati Temple Gate when a biker rammed into his car. The argument quickly turned violent as the biker attacked the businessman with a steel rod. When his wife tried to intervene, the biker slapped her. Enraged, the businessman snatched the rod and struck the biker on the head, leaving him bleeding. Despite his injuries, the biker vandalized the car. A social worker stepped in to mediate, leading both parties to settle the matter privately. The businessman offered to pay for the biker’s medical treatment, and neither filed a complaint. “My husband’s safety matters most. I won’t complain,” the shaken wife told reporters. Residents expressed concern over rising street violence and urged the police to take stricter action.
