A robbery accused absconding for three years in a dacoity case at Kingaon Raja in Buldhana was arrested by Mukundwadi police while allegedly playing cards in Rajnagar. The accused, Ajay alias Bhajya Murlidhar Adamane, was later handed over to the Buldhana Local Crime Branch.

Adamane, a history-sheeter booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), was the main accused in the October 19, 2023 robbery in which Vishnu Kakad, a supermarket collection agent, was attacked with chilli powder and robbed of Rs 4.43 lakh. He had also been absconding in a Cidco robbery case and was allegedly involved in multiple serious offences while evading arrest. Acting on a tip-off, a team led by police inspector Sachin Ingole, along with assistant sub-inspector Babasaheb Kamble and staff members Narsing Pawar, Ganesh Vairalkar and Anil Thore, apprehended him in a swift operation. Earlier, he was also accused in a Mukundwadi firing incident aimed at creating terror, following which MCOCA was invoked against the gang. Police records show more than ten serious offences registered against him in the city.
