Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The city is set for a major industrial boost as Nidec Global Appliance is investing Rs 1002 crore, creating 700-1000 new jobs.

The MoU was signed between Nidec Global Appliance and the Government of Maharashtra, with CM Devendra Fadnavis presiding over the event on Sunday. Nidec Global Appliance, a part of Japan’s Nidec Corporation, specializes in R&D, manufacturing, and sales of motors for home appliances like washing machines, dryers and dishwashers. The investment will enhance industrial growth and strengthen the region’s manufacturing sector. Apart from this, Nidec Corporation is expanding its Hubballi-Dharwad facility in Karnataka, proposing an additional Rs 150 crore investment on top of its earlier Rs 450 crore investment. The expansion will cover 50 acres and generate 800 jobs, focusing on alternators, motors, system solutions, and drives for EVs, data centers, and elevators.

This investment marks a significant step in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s industrial journey, promising employment opportunities and economic growth for the city.
