Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The government has claimed that around Rs 14.25 crore in medical financial assistance was distributed to 1,769 eligible and needy patients in the district over the past year through the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund, for those who could not avail benefits under other health schemes.

Financial aid is being provided for 20 serious medical conditions, including cochlear implant (for children aged 2 to 6 years), heart, liver, kidney, lung, and bone marrow transplants, hand and knee transplants, hip replacement, cancer surgeries, road accidents, paediatric surgeries, brain disorders, heart diseases, dialysis, cancer treatment (chemotherapy/radiation), ligament-related issues, neonatal diseases, burn injuries, and electrical accident cases.

Between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, a total of 40,776 patients across the state received medical assistance amounting to Rs 333.06 crore. During the same period, 1,769 patients from the district were provided financial aid of approximately Rs 14.25 crore.
