Motor Accident Claims Tribunal member S.K. Upadhyay has ordered the tanker driver, owner, and insurance company to pay Rs 16,77,000 with 7% interest to the heirs of Yogesh Subhash Hire, an Aurangabad Electricals engineer killed in a tanker-two-wheeler collision. The tribunal cited the driver's "reckless and negligent driving" and dismissed the insurance company's defence for lack of evidence, holding all three jointly liable. On December 31, 2016, Hire was riding from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar towards Nimgaon when a speeding tanker (MH-15-AG-9115) struck him, killing him on the spot. Shivur Police filed a chargesheet against driver Bapu Padwal. The compensation claim was filed through adv Sandeep Rajebhosale, assisted by Advs. Ankit Malpani, Prashant Gaikwad, Arjun Ingale, and Akash Rathod.
