Police seized over three kilograms of ganja worth Rs 62,500 in the Waluj industrial area on Thursday evening.
The accused has been identified as Salim Jafar Shaikh. The contraband was intercepted on the road between Kamgar Chowk and More Chowk, in front of Smart Solution Company. Along with 3.117 kg of ganja, officers confiscated silver-coloured bhang tablets worth Rs 101, a white cloth bag, and a Vivo mobile phone valued at Rs 10,000. API Arvind Shinde of MIDC Waluj Police Station is leading the investigation to uncover further links.
