Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, customers preferred gold jewellery over coins, leading to a strong buying rush since morning despite higher prices compared to last year.
Shreyas Pritam Bora of Namo Gold & Diamond said demand shifted from coins to jewellery, with mangalsutras, chains, earrings and diamond pieces selling well.
With rising competition and changing customer preferences, the store attracted buyers through a wide range of designs and new collections. Offers such as 995 purity gold ornaments with zero making charges boosted sales.
Discounts of up to 40% on gold jewellery making charges and up to 100% on diamond jewellery are available till April 30, said Manoj Shingvi and Prashant Papdiwal.
