Aurangabad, Oct 28:

The local railway station seems to be charging as the rush of passengers is growing each day. Hence, thousands of passengers are boarding or de-boarding through eight trains (Up and Down) from the station daily. The rush is seen after a long gap of seven months.

Following the pandemic situation, the train service was halted in the country since March. Later on, special trains for migrant workers were operated, and after a two months gap, the operation of Sachkhand Express got started from June 1.

In addition, the South Central Railway (SCR) started a special train Mumbai-Nanded-Mumbai from October 11. Two more special trains were introduced from October 24. They are Aurangabad-Hyderabad-Aurangabad and Dharmabad-Manmad-Dharmabad Express.

According to railway authorities, 200 passengers arrived from Nanded-Mumbai train, 500 from Dharmabad-Manmad train, 250 from Hyderabad-Aurangabad train and 200 from Sachkhand Express train on Tuesday. The same number of passengers boarded these trains and proceeded towards their destinations. The rush of passengers is likely to increase in the coming days as the festival is around the corner.

Earlier, the health administration was conducting an antigens test of passengers de-boarding the Sachkhand Express. Now the test has also been stopped.
