Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Sagar Singh Rajput, a resident of the city, has been commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army on March 7, 2026, after completing a year of training at the academy.

Sagar studied at Cambridge School (ICSE) and completed his BTech in civil engineering from MGM’s JNEC. He cleared the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview in Jalandhar, securing All India Rank 1 in the overall order of merit.

During training, he served as academy cadet adjutant (ACA) and received awards for Best in Firing and Best in Weapon Training. His father, Indal Singh Rajput, served in the Indian Navy for 32 years. His parents called it a proud and emotional moment for the family.
