Aurangabad, May 15:

One and a half thousand health workers from Aurangabad, Jalna, Hingoli and Parbhani districts under the Aurangabad deputy director of health office have been without pay for two months. They have not received the salaries of March or April. Corona warriors have found themselves in a financial crisis due to administrative delays.

On May 12, approval was received to give continuation to the 1,441 temporary posts under the Aurangabad deputy director of health office. It took 3 months for the process to be completed. Therefore, the staff of district civil hospital, rural hospital, primary health centers have not received two months salary. Employees, unions have been pursuing the issue for the last two months. Approval for the budget continuation came two days ago. So there are signs of salaries being paid in the next week. But for the past two months, health workers have been facing financial problems. Despite providing round-the-clock medical care, corona warriors have been forced to spend days without pay. Deputy director of health Dr Swapnil Lale said, the continuation has come two days ago. The salaries will be released as soon as possible, he said.
