Sansthan Ganpati road in shambles, residents suffer

Aurangabad, Dec 25:

The roads near the Sansthan Ganpati Mandir has developed several small and big potholes causing tremendous inconvenience to the devotees coming for darshan. In particular, political leaders and officials of the municipal corporation come here for darshan. The residents have expressed their anger and asked whether the authorities are unable to see the dilapidated condition of the road.

After getting elected, MLAs and MPs first come to take blessings of Sansthan Ganpati. Ganeshotsav immersion procession and other processions are taken out from the temple. The Shahgunj and Rajabazar areas also have busy market places. However, the roads here are in shambles. The road is filled with several small and big potholes that make it a mammoth task to drive the vehicle. The road from Sansthan Ganapati Mandir to Navabpura is in the worst state. Similarly, the roads leading to Kirana Chawdi, Jadhavmandi and Mondha are also in a dilapidated state. The residents have demanded that the municipal administration must carry out construction and widening of the road.
