Sarees worth lakhs stolen from Surat, Gujarat, were recovered in Waluj after Gujarat police raided a warehouse in Ambelohal. A truck carrying the sarees, headed to Rayalam, Andhra Pradesh, went missing on Thursday.

The Suyash Transport truck (MH-18-BG-3669), owned by Mukesh Jain, was traced near a petrol pump in Dhule, but the sarees were missing, raising theft suspicions. Further investigation led to the Ambelohal warehouse, where the sarees were recovered. Two suspects were arrested; another had been detained in Dhule. The truck carried goods worth Rs 45 lakh, but only part was recovered. Police continue to trace the remaining sarees and identify those behind the theft, highlighting interstate transport security concerns.
