Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Amid intense daytime heat, repeated night-time power outages over the past few days have worsened discomfort across several parts of the city.

On Thursday around 8 pm, supply was disrupted in Mondha Naka, Sindhi Colony, Balajinagar, Pannalal Nagar, Ramanagar, Kalda Corner and Ajabnagar, leaving areas in darkness. With fans, coolers and air-conditioners non-functional during the heatwave, residents struggled indoors.

Children, senior citizens and patients were the worst affected. Citizens termed it a “double blow” harsh sun by day and outages by night and urged MSEDCL to take immediate steps to ensure uninterrupted supply.
