The selection list for the second round of Centralised Admission Process (CAP) was declared on Saturday. The admission process, which was halted on September 9 due to court matter, was resumed a few days ago.
The selection list of 5,044 candidates for the second round was announced today. Those candidates who were allotted first preference college will have to confirm the admission compulsorily. The students who were given preferent from two to ten number can confirm admission or wait for the next round.
The Education Department asked all the secondary schools and junior colleges should provide all information online to the students taking into consideration of the spread of COVID. “Colleges will have to ensure that students should maintain physical distancing for the admission process. The fee should be collected online, then calling the students to the college,” the Education Department added.
There are 116 colleges within the jurisdiction of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation with the intake of 31,465 seats for the academic year 2020-21. A total of 25,775 registered while 20,368 verified it. Nearly 8,740 students were selected for the first round while 7913 confirmed the admission.
