Aurangabad, Dec 28:

Members of the Senate of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University raised the issue of giving the contract of security guards to a particular agency for the past ten years.

On this, vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole replied that the then VCs and Management Council members kept giving extension to the contract.

Sunil Magre said that only one agency was given the contract of security service for the past decade.

Management Council member Sanjay Nimbalkar said that when this was brought to the administration''s notice, instructions were issued to implement the tender process afresh.

Replying to this, registrar Dr Jaishri Suryavanshi said that the draft of the process is ready. The members were not satisfied with the replies. VC Dr Yeole noted that the process would be given impetus and would be completed before March 31.
