Aurangabad, Feb 22:

Serum Institute of Indian (SII) of India conducted a campus placement drive in Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on Monday.

A total of 190 candidates of M Sc Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology attended the preliminary round. Of them, 80 were selected for the final round.

Director of COVID Testing Laboratory Dr G D Khedkar and dean from Faculty of Science Dr B B Waykar guided the candidates in the camp's inaugural ceremony.

Human Resource personnel of SII Bhushan Apte and Chinmay Kulkarni spoke on the selection process.

Those who will be shortlisted in the final round will get a job as a trainee in its production department.

Training and Placement Officer of Bamu Dr Girish Kale, took efforts in organising the placement camp of SII, which has launched COVID vaccine in the country. The health check-up of each candidate was carried out before entry as part of COVID measures.

Naval Basole, Ashutosh Khatri, Dinesh Gehlot, Amol Ladda, Umakant Punde, Suhas Burande from the Serum company were present.
