Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The birth anniversary of Maharashtra’s revered deity Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Bhondawe Patil School.

Shiv orator Kumar Biradawade was the chief guest. The programmme began with floral tributes to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj followed by the Shiv Aarti. Students highlighted various incidents from Shivaji Maharaj’s life through speeches, dances, powadas (traditional ballads), and songs.

Biradawade said parents must instill values from Shivaji Maharaj’s life while raising their children. School president Hanuman Bhondawe extended Shiv Jayanti greetings. Headmistress Sharmishtha Dutta, vice-Headmistress Rani Sawant, all teachers, students, and parents were present. Students Harshal Kedar and Sai Mote hosted the event. Anay Nikhade proposed a vote of thanks.
