A pan shop owner and his friend were seriously injured after thieves rammed their motorcycle while fleeing in a rickshaw at 4 am on March 23 near Vaishali Dhaba in Pisadevi.

Sheikh Shakir(46, Misarwadi), saw via CCTV on his mobile phone that two men had bent the tin sheet of his “Friends” pan stall and entered it. He rushed to the spot with a friend on a motorcycle and began chasing the suspects, who were escaping in a rickshaw. As Shakir continued the pursuit, the accused allegedly hit their motorcycle, causing both to fall and sustain serious injuries. They were admitted to hospital. A case has been registered at the Cidco police station.
