Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A shopkeeper allegedly rammed his two-wheeler into a municipal sanitation worker and assaulted him for not cleaning the area outside his shop. The incident occurred at 6.30 am on Thursday in Lane No. 14, Sanjaynagar.

The accused, Javed Jakaria (50, Lane No. 9, Sanjaynagar), allegedly abused and twisted the arm of Kishor Sable (50, N-6), who has been serving in the municipal sanitation department for 27 years and was on duty with colleagues at the time. After informing his seniors, Sable lodged a complaint at Jinsi police station. A case has been registered against Jakaria for assault and obstructing a public servant from discharging official duties.
