Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A five-kilometre “Shreeyash Mini Marathon” was organised today at the Divisional Sports Complex on Sunday by Shreeyash Pratishthan to create awareness about organ donation in society.

More than 300 participants from places like Beed, Pune, Nashik, Jalna, Buldhana, Ahilyanagar, Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, took part in this event. Basawaraj Mangrule, chairman of Shreeyash Pratishthan, flagged off the Marathon.

The Chief Guest for the prize distribution ceremony was Mayor Sameer Rajurkar. A young participant and cancer survivor, Parag Ligade, and his parents were specially felicitated.

The names of winners are as follows;

--18 to 50 years-Male category): First-Atul Barde, Second - Arjun Shinde

--18 to 50 years (Female Category): First- Shivani Diwakar, Second - Disha Borse

--Above 50 years (Male Category: First - Ramesh Chivalkar, Second - Ram Limbhare

--Above 50 years (Female Category): First-Vithabai Kachhave, Second - Abha Singh
