Police have booked six people for brutally assaulting a woman over a minor dispute about bringing a child home from school. The incident occurred around 9.30 am on Sunday in Anvi village, Sillod tehsil.

The complainant, Alka Shinde (33, Padegaon in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), told police that the accused Chandrakalabai Tambe, Vijay Tambe, Sarjerao Tambe, Sonu, Sita Prabhakar Kamble, and Gotya Sarjerao Tambe, all residents of Ekefal in Bhokardan taluka attacked her after she refused to fetch her nephew from school as they demanded. Following her complaint, Sillod rural police registered an FIR against the six accused. Police naik Satish Patil is investigating the case further.
