Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Through the Smart City project, the road in front of the Municipal Corporation headquarters was made smooth using cement. However, the road has been damaged at three locations, and the contractor has been instructed to repair those specific parts. Six days ago, the road was dug up, and the debris was removed, but the potholes remain unfilled. Every day, vehicle owners are falling into these dangerous potholes.

The Smart City project is spending Rs 317 crore to develop 111 roads in the city using cement. However, some of the roads that have already been completed have shown surface degradation. Hence the project director of Smart City, Imran Khan, has directed the concerned agency to repair the damaged parts. As per this instruction, the agency dug up the road in front of the municipal corporation headquarters at three places and removed the debris. But even after six days, the dug-up potholes have not been filled. As a result, vehicle owners are falling into these potholes at night, leading to accidents. The concerning part is that there are no barricades for safety on either side of the potholes. Despite this issue continuing in front of the headquarters, the Municipal Corporation administration is not ready to address the issue to the Smart City office.
