Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The book Snehabandhatli Thev authored by Dr Balaji Asegaonkar was released in a ceremony held on Sunday (March 29) at Sneh Sawali Care Centre. The event was jointly organised by Saket Prakashan and the Sneh Sawali family.

The function was presided over by founder of Snehalaya, Ahilyanagar, Dr Girish Kulkarni. Prominent guests included author and social worker Dr Alka Mandke, founder of Sawali Care Centre, Kolhapur, Kishor Deshpande, and noted litterateur Baba Bhand.

In his address, Dr Kulkarni said the book presents touching and realistic stories reflecting the emotional world of the elderly, while also serving as a medium for family and social counselling. Speakers appreciated the author’s simple and sensitive writing style, noting that it highlights the emotional needs of senior citizens.

Dr Asegaonkar said the book aims to create awareness about emotional support in caregiving, adding that proceeds will support social initiatives. (photo)
