BJP leader Kirit Somaiya met CP Pravin Pawar on Thursday, demanding action over 112 fake birth certificates issued in the city. He submitted related documents and held a detailed discussion.
On Saturday, he filed an application at City Chowk police station, alleging that nearly 1,000 birth certificates were issued late, with administrative officials also involved. He claimed that over 100 pieces of evidence prove Aadhaar cards and other linked documents were forged. Somaiya accused the District Collector’s office of ignoring complaints. During his meeting with Pawar, municipal and district officials were present. He stated that there was no proof of the 112 individuals being born in India. After the meeting, he told the media that the commissioner assured strict action.
