Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A special expert lecture on Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs), a Nobel Prize-winning topic, was organised via video conferencing by the Department of Chemistry of MGM University on Saturday.

Dr Babasaheb Matsagar from Yuan Ze University, Taiwan, and an internationally renowned researcher, interacted with the attendees as the subject expert and speaker.

The primary objective of this lecture was to provide students and researchers with information on cutting-edge research at the global level, given that the field of Metal-Organic Frameworks research received the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

A total of 94 students registered for this programme, including 23 undergraduate, 51 postgraduate, and 20 PhD researchers.

Dr Babasaheb Matsagar provided detailed guidance on the design of Metal Organic Frameworks for specific applications, 3D printed models, and the synthesis of MOFs.

Dean Dr Prapti Deshmukh, Head of Department Dr Suryakant Sapkal, Dr Ganesh Pawar, Dr Balaji Mulik and others were present.
