Speeding truck crashes into high-mast pole in Waluj

A major accident occurred on Saturday afternoon at Gorakh Wagh Chowk in Bajajnagar when a speeding truck (MH-20-CT-4328) rammed into a high-mast light pole. The vehicle was extensively damaged, though no casualties were reported.

According to information, the truck was passing through the chowk at high speed when the cabin lock suddenly opened, causing driver Krishna Bhalekar to lose control. Within moments, the truck crashed into the high-mast pole. Hearing the loud impact, nearby residents rushed to the spot and rescued the driver, who was trapped inside the cabin. The accident led to heavy traffic congestion at the chowk for some time, with long queues of vehicles forming. Traffic was later restored with the efforts of Uddhav Sena city chief Vishal Khandagale, Vikram Jadhav, Yogesh Thombre and Navnath Sawant.
