Renowned sports trainer, Shivaji Khandre, passed away at the age of 68 years on Monday after a brief illness. He has been associated with the field of sports for the past 50 years. He was a renowned Kabaddi and Kho-Kho trainer and imparted guidance to several reputed athletes at national level. He was recently honoured with the ideal sports trainer award by Aurangabad Olympic Santhatana. He had immensely contributed to the CM Trophy championship last year. His sad demise is a severe loss to the sports arena in the city.
