Prof. Dr Bhagwan Jadhav was found dead in Vishnupuri dam of Nanded, nearly 260 kilo metres from Aurangabad, in the morning at 6.15 on Tuesday. He was 53.

He was a resident of Parbhani. Deceased Jadhav (53) was the dean of human science department in Swami Ramanand Teerth University, Nanded. Earlier, he was a lecturer of English in Dnyanopasak College, Parbhani. The sources said that as usual on October 5 morning, Jadhav had gone for swimming in Shankar dam situated in Vishnupuri village. This dam is usually seen crowded with tourists, but during lockdown no crowd was seen there. Jadhav’s family members got worried after he did not return from swimming on Monday. His vehicle and clothes were seen kept on the bank of the dam. The family members started searching for him since Monday. The Godavari lifeguard, fire brigade team and police searched for 24 hours and found him dead floating in the water. He is survived by mother, wife, a son and a daughter.
