Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Zilla Parishad Construction Committee Chairman Sachin Garad demanded stricter laws against perpetrators of crimes against girls and a safer environment for women, speaking at a tribute programme in Bajajnagar for the deceased girl from Nasrapur.

Organised by the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Anti-Injustice and Atrocities Action Committee, the event saw demands for the death penalty for the accused, trial in a Fast Track Court, Rs. 1 crore compensation to the victim's family, and action against accomplices. A memorandum was submitted at Waluj MIDC Police Station. RPI(D) State President KV Gaikwad and others were present.
