A Class 10 student allegedly died by suicide on Friday morning in Pundliknagar area, fearing failure in the SSC examination even before the results were declared. However, after the results were announced in the afternoon, it was revealed that he had passed with 42 per cent marks.

The deceased has been identified as Soham More (15 years, 11 months), a resident of Pundliknagar, originally from Wadod Khurd in Khultabad taluka. According to friends, Soham had deleted all his social media accounts the previous night. On Friday, after his mother left for work around 7.30 am, Soham allegedly hanged himself in the kitchen at their residence around 8 am. His father works as a mechanic with the MSRTC, while his mother is employed at a mess to support the family. An accidental death report has been registered at the Pundliknagar police station.
