Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Students enrolled in Classes 11 and 12 who stay in Government hostels under the Social Justice Department will now be able to continue staying in those hostels even during the summer vacation period. The Social Justice Department has recently issued a circular in this regard.

Students of Classes 11 and 12 staying in government hostels were previously not permitted to stay in the hostels after their annual examinations ended. However, many colleges conduct summer classes after the annual examinations.

Many students who prepare for competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET and CET, cannot afford to take accommodation on rent.

MLC Satish Chavan had been persistently following up on this demand at the Government level and had also drawn attention to the matter through a representation submitted to State Social Justice Minister Sanjay Shirsat. His efforts have finally paid off and the circular was issued by the Social Justice Department.
