Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the Class 10 Board Examination 2026 (Session 1) results.
It may be noted that the CBSE has implemented a two-session board examination policy for the first time, beginning with the 2026 academic year. The new decision was announced in June 2025 in as per the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The primary objective of the new policy is to reduce academic stress among students by offering them a second opportunity to improve their performance. In addition to the official CBSE websites, students can access their results through the UMANG app and DigiLocker using their login credentials.

2nd Session to Be Held in May
As per the official schedule, the second board examination session for Class 10 will be conducted in May 2026. Schools are required to submit their list of candidates as per the notice issued on March 17, 2026. It is important to note that not all students are eligible to appear in the May 2026 examination. CBSE has established clear eligibility criteria.

Students of city CBSE schools shine in 10th-grade exam

The students from various CBSE-affiliated schools came out with flying colours in the 10th-grade results that were declared today. The Central Board held the 10th-grade examinations at 14 various centres in the city between February 17 and March 9, 2026. Nearly 5,000 students from these schools appeared for the examination in the city. All papers were held in a single shift from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. Of them, more than 450 students obtained 90 and above marks.
