Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “It is very important to develop creativity, confidence and the ability to work among the students. They should continuously do research in the spirit of ‘One Idea, One Life’, study the references and improve their ideas,” said Manish Joshi, Secretary, University Grants Commission (UGC).

He was speaking at the valedictory and prize distribution ceremony of the three-day DIPEX-2026 Science and Innovation Exhibition jointly organised at MIT by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and 'Srijan' Trust on Sunday. Innovative projects presented by students from across the State were honoured.

Manish Joshi said initiatives like DIPEX are also getting support from the government level and have appealed to every university to organise such innovative programmes.

He also mentioned providing opportunities to excellent students in DIPEX in online courses like SWAYAM. Dr Vinod Mohitkar (Director, Higher and Technical Education), Devdutt Joshi (National Co-organisation Minister, ABVP), Dr Karbhari Kale (Vice Chancellor, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University), Atul Save (Minister, chairman, Reception Committee) and industrialist Ram Bhogale,

Chinmay Mahale, Harjinder Singh and Pravin Ghuge were present. Dr Vinod Mohitkar said that a decision was taken to give two academic credits to diploma students who participated in DIPEX. Minister Atul Save, VC Dr Karbhari Kale and Devdutt Joshi also guided the participants.

--A total of 2660 applications were received through the automatic registration website. This included 1560 applications for degrees, 919 for diplomas and 125 for ITIs.

--More than 40,000 students, parents and entrepreneurs visited the exhibition

--A total of 353 projects from 31 districts were presented in person.

--A total of diploma-132 projects, degree-145 projects and ITI-76 projects.
