Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Nearly a month after the appointment of chairpersons of various subject committees in the municipal corporation, some of them are yet to be allotted offices. On Thursday, a delegation of chairpersons met the municipal commissioner and warned of protests if offices are not provided soon.

Shobha Burande has been appointed chairperson of the Women and Child Welfare Committee, with Jyoti Jain as deputy chairperson. Sunita Solunke heads the Health Committee, Ramdas Harne the City Improvement Committee, Premlata Dabhade the School Committee, and Jalinder Shendge the Social Welfare Committee.

Out of these, only two chairpersons have been allotted offices so far, while the rest are still waiting. The chairpersons have been consistently demanding office space from officials. All of them met the Commissioner, who assured them that a decision would be conveyed by the next day, Shendge said.
