In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old youth from Biharipur village in Mukhed tehsil, who had gone to Kuwait for livelihood, died under suspicious circumstances. The deceased has been identified as Sheikh Zuber Mohammad. His family has alleged that his death was not natural and suspect foul play. The victim’s father has appealed to the Central Government and the Indian Embassy to intervene urgently.

Zuber had been working as a cook at Al Zahar in Kuwait for the past four years. On February 3, around 8:30 pm, he spoke to his father over the phone. However, the next day, on February 4 at around 12 noon, Kuwait police contacted his father using Zuber’s phone and informed him that his son had died due to burns.

Zuber’s marriage had recently been fixed, and preparations were underway at home. His father expressed firm belief that Zuber could not have taken any extreme step. He also claimed that when he told Kuwait police that his son could not commit suicide and must have been murdered, the call was abruptly disconnected. Due to these inconsistencies, the family suspects foul play.

Zuber is survived by his elderly parents and a sister. His father runs a small grocery shop in the village to support the family. The youth’s sudden death has cast a pall of gloom over the entire Biharipur village.

Appeal to Indian Embassy

Zuber’s father, Sheikh Mohammad Imamsahab, has sent an email representation to the Indian Embassy in Kuwait, demanding a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident, coordination with local authorities to ascertain the exact cause of death, and strict action against those responsible.

Meanwhile, no official information regarding the youth’s death in Kuwait has yet been received from the Central Government, said Madhav Malgirwar, confidential branch head at Mukramabad police station.
