Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Members of a teachers union staged a ‘Halgi Bajao’ protest in front of the office of the Deputy Director of Education (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) on Monday in protest against the new staffing pattern.

It may be noted that thousands of teachers in the State will be redundant due to the Government's decision about regarding new staffing patterns.

The strength of the teachers will be decided on the basis of staffing pattern decisions taken on March 15, 2024. The office-bearers of Shikshak Sena also submitted a memorandum to Deputy Director of Education Prakash Mukund.

The agitators said that the new decision would result in shrinking school staff and turning many teachers as additional. A protest was held across the State against this Government decision under the leadership of Shikshak Sena State president A J Md Abhyankar.

A protest was staged at Deputy Director of Education office under the leadership of Shikshak Sena Treasurer Sudhakar Kapre and Marathwada President Namdev Sonawane. Different slogans were raised against the Government's decision, registering a protest. Vitthal Badar, Ganesh Pimple, Datta Pawar and others were present.
