A 16-year-old boy, died after receiving an electric shock while watering a construction site on Saturday morning around 7.30 am in Paithan tehsil.

The deceased has been identified as Saber Shaikh. Saber, a 10th-grade student from Tukaram High School, was helping with the construction of his new home. During the task, an electric current entered the water, causing the shock. He collapsed on the spot and was rushed to the Dhakephal Primary Health Center. After being transferred to a private hospital in Bidkin, doctors declared him dead. His burial was conducted at 2.30 pm.
