Aurangabad, March 6:

More than 100 infected patients are being found in rural areas of the district. The number of daily commuters from urban to rural areas is high. We are monitoring the situation. Many citizens are not wearing masks and not observing social distancing. People need to be careful and if they don't, the administration will have to take precautionary measures said, chief executive officer of the Zilla Parishad (ZP), Dr Mangesh Gondawale.

When asked about the lockdown Dr Gondawale said that the district collector would chair a meeting on Sunday. A decision will be taken regarding the lockdown thereafter. More than a hundred patients were found in rural areas on Friday. The number of commuters from Aurangabad city to rural areas is also high. The decision will be made after considering all those factors. The administration is monitoring the situation. The number of patients is on the rise. The reason for this is that the citizens are moving around without following the rules. People need to be careful. However, they should follow the instructions. Similarly, if the number of patients continues to increase, there will be no choice but to lockdown.
