Aurangabad, July 3:

A thief stole copper wire amounting Rs 20,000 installed in an under-constructed house at Yashwantnagar on Beed By-pass Road on Friday. The Pundliknagar police arrested a suspect in this connection while he has been remanded in police custody for two days. The arrested has been identified as Sagar Dhananjay Dhurve (22, Bambatnagar).

A new house has been constructed at Yashwantnagar while the wiring and colouring work was being done. Sagar allegedly snatched the wires from the wall and took copper after burning it. The security guard told about it to the contractor Mayur Rajendra Kante, who lodged a complaint against Sagar. The police arrested him and presented him before the court. He was granted in police remand for two days. Constable Babu Pandhare is further investigating the case.
