Kannad Rural Police arrested the third accused, Raju Pawar (51), in the murder of former sarpanch’s son, Raju Pawar (45), from Jamadi (Forest) on Sunday (25th) at 2 pm.

Raju Pawar’s body was found on 13 January, severely injured and naked, in a stream in Jamadi forest. Investigation had already revealed Vandana Raju Pawar (45) and her son Dheeraj alias Tema (18) were involved. Although Raju Jodha Pawar’s family tried to shield him due to his government job, police suspected his role. During inquiry by Assistant Police Inspector Ramchandra Pawar, he confessed. Vandana and Dheeraj Pawar were previously arrested.
