A man and his maternal uncle were attacked at a plot in front of Sailani Baba Dargah, Wadgaon Kolhati while traveling on a motorcycle recently.

The accused has been identified as Maqsood Khan, Hasan Khan, Akil Khiledar and one unknown person. According to the police, Hasan Khan was armed with a 3.5-foot iron rod and Akil Khiledar with a wooden stick. Akil Khiledar claimed ownership of the plot and verbally abused the victims, accusing them of encroachment. Maqsood Khan and an unknown person kicked Shaikh Zuber in the stomach, while Hasan Khan struck the other victim on the head with the iron rod. Akil Khiledar hit Shaikh Zuber on his stomach and back with the wooden stick. The attackers also threatened to kill them if they returned to the plot. Following the attack, the assailants fled. Shaikh Abraham (Garkheda) and Wasim Sheikh arrived to help the victims. The injured were first taken to Ghrishneshwar Hospital, Bajajnagar, which refused admission, and later admitted to private Hospital, Beed Bypass Road. A complaint has been registered at the Waluj MIDC police station.
