Aurangabad, APRIL 16: Three teenaged boys drowned in a pond on the outskirts of Beed city in Pangarbawadi area on Beed bypass road on Friday afternoon.

According to the Beed rural police, three Beed youngsters Om Ganesh Jadhav (17 ), Mayur Rajendra Gaikwad (14, both Gandhinagar) and Shyamsundar Deshmukh (17, Rajivnagar) here went for swimming in a pond on the outskirts of Beed town on a bicycle at 11 am on Friday.

In the evening, all the three didn't return to their homes.

Meanwhile, the police were informed that the three had gone for a swim. All the three were presumed drowned as their chappals and a bicycle were found abandoned on the bank of the pond.

Police inspector Santosh Sangle, assistant police inspector Yogesh Ubale and police sub-inspector Pavankumar Rajput rushed to the spot along with the police squad.

Firemen R Y Aadmane, J B Dhokane and Pradeep Wadmare fished the dead bodies out of water after searching for more than one hour. The parents of the deceased started crying as soon as dead bodies were brought out. The police have registered a case of accidental deaths.
