Chain-snatching incidents continue unabated, with three women robbed within 12 hours in Jawaharnagar, Waluj and Mukundwadi, raising concerns over policing.

In the past 15 days, over 10 women have lost their gold chains in these areas. On April 23 at 5 pm, Vidya Munde (55) was robbed of her 7-gram mangalsutra by bike-borne snatchers near Gharkul Furniture in Jawaharnagar. Around 10 pm, Kamini Chevar (36) was similarly targeted in Waluj, losing her 5-gram mangalsutra while walking with her husband. In Mukundwadi, another woman was pushed and robbed. She had not filed a complaint till late Friday night due to shock.
