Aurangabad, April 16:

Three accidents have taken place in a week due to open manholes in the A-sector of Shendra MIDC.On Friday, three workers were injured in an accident after falling in a manhole. Concerned workers are demanding to resolve the issue.

Drainage work was done at some places in A-sector last month. However, since the work in front of Plot No 312 was completed, the manhole of this place was kept open. There have been three accidents so far due to an open manhole. Three workers have been severely injured in this accident on Friday. The workers have demanded that the concerned authorities order the contractors to cover the manholes. When contacted, MIDC engineer Pramod Magre declined to comment.
