Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
A significant step is being taken to provide a global platform to the industrial and entrepreneurial potential of Marathwada, as efforts to establish the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar chapter of TiE Global, one of the world’s leading entrepreneurial networks, have gained momentum. This initiative is expected to open up international opportunities for local startups and entrepreneurs.
Founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by entrepreneurs of Indian origin, TiE has played a major role in promoting entrepreneurship through mentorship, networking, education, incubation, and access to capital. Today, the organisation operates in more than 14 countries with over 60 chapters, building a strong global network of more than 15,000 members.
In India, TiE has 23 active chapters and is actively strengthening the startup ecosystem in tier-2 cities. Through this platform, experienced entrepreneurs provide guidance, investment, and opportunities to emerging entrepreneurs.
The launch of a TiE chapter in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is seen as a major opportunity for the city and the entire Marathwada region. Especially in the context of increasing investments in Auric (Aurangabad Industrial City), local startups will gain direct access to global investors, mentors, and markets.
The organisation strengthens the entrepreneurial ecosystem through five key pillars: mentorship, networking, education, incubation, and access to capital.
This initiative is expected to connect local entrepreneurs to a global network, provide investment and mentorship opportunities for startups, create a strong link between industry, education, and innovation, and enable international expansion opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs.
