Meanwhile, the experts also expressed their concern as the finance minister has reduced the budget of promoting India through implementation of Incredible India campaign (in the overseas) to Rs 3 crore only. They also feared that lack of major policy changes like GST rationalisation or visa relaxations could limit the impact on tourism growth, they said on condition of anonymity.

The president of Aurangabad Tourism Development Foundation (ATDF), Jaswant Singh said,“It is a tourist-centric budget. The allocation of funds for improving airports, railways, and roads, which could enhance accessibility and connectivity for tourists. Promoting rural tourism and spiritual tourism will help attract new segments of travellers. The announcement of the Kailash Grishneshwar is the need of the hour.

Expedition of infra development such as the Udan Yojana and Vande Bharat routes will incentivise sustainable travel and tourism.”
