Aurangabad, Dec 20:

Sunday saw a huge crowd of tourists and visitors at the historical monuments and tourist sites in and around the city. Hundreds of people flocked to the Bibi-Ka-Maqbara and Ellora Caves to enjoy the Sunday.

Tickets are being sold online at tourist destinations across the country. However, last week tourists faced inconvenience while buying tickets. Many tourists encountered problems like website hanging, QR code not being scanned and tickets not being downloaded. Due to these difficulties, many tourists did not get tickets and had to return without seeing the tourist places. The news about this was published by Lokmat Times. Not only in the city but also across the country, tourists had to face these difficulties. Taking note, the archaeological department had stated that ticket sales will resume offline from Sunday. However, due to some technical issues, tickets could not be sold offline and tourists had to buy tickets online.

Employees appointed

Tourists who came to Bibi-Ka-Maqbara last Sunday faced many difficulties in getting tickets online. But no staff was present to resolve the issues. However, this Sunday, the staff of the maqbara administration was appointed at the spot and guiding the tourists. Therefore, tourists did not face any major issues while buying online tickets on Sunday.

Attempts were made again on Sunday to issue tickets offline, at Ellora Caves and Bibi-Ka-Maqbara. However, due to some technical issues with the central system in Delhi, the system could not be streamlined in other tourist destinations. Therefore, tourists had to buy tickets online. There were also many difficulties in ticket scanning and printing. However, proper care was taken at tourist places said, Milan Kumar Chawle, superintending archaeologist.
