Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The ‘Gangaur’ festival was recently celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at Agrasen Bhavan. On this occasion, women and young girls performed rituals and offered prayers to Lord Mahadev and Goddess Parvati, seeking happiness, prosperity, and marital bliss.

Women dressed in beautiful traditional attire and presented folk dances, adding vibrancy to the celebrations. The major highlight of the event was the grand procession of Gangaur idols. The beautifully decorated idols were taken out in a procession, with a large number of devotees participating.

Various cultural programmes were also organised as part of the celebration. Prominent members of the community expressed their views, stating that Gangaur symbolises the richness of cultural heritage. Such festivals strengthen mutual love, harmony, and traditions within society.

The event was successfully organised with significant contributions from women’s committee president Manisha Bharuka, secretary Rajni Bhagadia, and Bahu-Beti Mandal president Shalini Agarwal. The programme concluded with the distribution of Mahaprasad.
