Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Traffic was disrupted for some time at the Shivajinagar underpass on Saturday morning around 10.30 am after a truck got stuck in the iron height barrier at Deolai Chowk.

The truck (MH 20 GZ 1787), travelling from Shivajinagar towards Deolai, got trapped in the iron frame while passing through the underpass. As a result, long queues of vehicles formed on both sides of the road. The truck could move ahead only after the iron rods on its upper side were removed, after which traffic resumed.

Meanwhile, two-wheeler riders heading from Shivajinagar towards Deolai moved the small cement dividers in the underpass and drove their bikes through the gap on the wrong side.

Traffic often slows down at the entry points from Deolai Chowk and Shivajinagar as vehicles approach each other from opposite directions, leading to long queues inside the underpass. As a result, traffic congestion frequently occurs in the underpass and at its entrances, causing inconvenience to motorists. Many goods trucks also get stuck in the height-restriction frame at Deolai Chowk, further adding to the problem.
