The city police have announced extensive traffic restrictions in view of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations on April 13 and 14, anticipating large-scale gatherings, rallies and processions across Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

The main procession will commence from Kranti Chowk and pass through Paithan Gate, Gulmandi, City Chowk and Main Post Office before concluding at Bhadkal Gate. Large crowds are also expected at Bhadkal Gate on April 13 for pre-jayanti tributes. Police commissioner Pravin Pawar has issued the order to ensure public safety and smooth traffic movement. On April 13, traffic will remain prohibited from Mill Corner to City Club between 6 pm and 12 midnight, with diversions via Jalgaon T, Jalna Road, Amarpreet Chowk, Town Hall flyover, Begumpura, University route and Khadkeshwar routes. On April 14, from 10 am to midnight, traffic will be restricted on multiple major routes including Mahavir Chowk-Amarpreet Chowk stretch, Kranti Chowk-City Chowk-Bhadkal Gate route, Shahganj-Sarafa corridor, Aurangpura–Barabhai Tajiya stretch, and Mill Corner–City Club road. Cidco routes including N-9, N-7 and TV Centre will also be regulated with one-way diversions during the procession. Alternative routes have been provided via Dargah Chowk, Railway Station, Devgiri College, Savarkar Chowk, Niralabazar and Chelipura corridors.
